The Hot tips which I feel is important are
1.Always duplicate the background layer when working on any image. This allows you to the original very easily. Name layers to avoid confusion.
2.Keep the center of the cursor (the hot spot) outside the edge of the image, otherwise areas needed may erased.
3.Use short mouse strokes. Each movement becomes an entire in the history palette - so it is easy to step back if you make the mistake.
